The purpose of this site is to provide useful information about Salisbury Beach and ocean safety to visitors and the local community.

Salisbury Beach is a barrier beach that stretches nearly 4 miles of New England's beautiful coast - from the mouth of the Merrimac River in Massachusetts to the New Hampshire State border.

The beach is guarded from Memorial Day thru Labor Day from 10:00am to 4:45pm.  Guards are stationed at 5 posts on the Salisbury State Reservation and maintain 4 posts at the Salisbury Center.  Beach goers are urged to use extra caution at areas between the reservation and center and north of the center as there are no lifeguards permanently assigned to those areas.  Remember - always swim near a lifeguard.
